FAQs
Everything you need to know before you ride, lift, or try your first class.
We keep things simple, clear, and beginner-friendly — because fitness shouldn’t feel confusing.
Yes, we have an array of discounted membership options available to our members, so please read them carefully and choose the one that works best for you. Fly Deals (recurring memberships) are up to 40% off the rack rate in exchange for a 3 month commitment as well as other terms. Class Packages cost a bit more per class but offer more flexibility. So it really depends on what works best for your schedule and lifestyle. Additionally, we also offers specials throughout the year, so be sure to check your email and the website for promotions.
Lastly, Dragonfly is in partnership with ASH (American Speciality Health) through their Active&Fit and Silver&Fit programs, which offers fitness perks via corporate wellness packages. You may be eligible to receive DFLY benefits through your employer.
It all depends on height, weight, age, and fitness level, but on average you can expect to burn between 500-700 calories in a 45 minute indoor cycling class, and about 300-500 in a strength training class.
All classes at Dragonfly are open to all levels. In the spin room, you are in control of your bike, your pace, and your resistance so you can modify the workout to your own comfort level. In the gym, grab weights you’re comfortable with, notify your instructor of any injuries you may have, and we’ll provide all the modifications necessary. There are beginners in just about every class, so don’t worry! Just go at your own pace, listen to your body, and smile!
If you aren’t feeling well or cannot make it through class for whatever reason, we ask you to exit the cycling room or gym with as little disturbance to class as possible. If you are in spin class and feeling fatigued but can make it through, take off some resistance on the bike, sit down, continue pedaling at a medium pace, and drink lots of water!
We recommend that anyone who rides at least once per week purchase a pair of cycling shoes. Our bikes support both LOOK DELTA and SPD clips.
If you’re not ready to purchase shoes, we offer shoe rentals at $3.
Yes, please! We like to keep account information on file for each of our riders, but it is for Dragonfly’s use only.

Unfortunately we do not at this time. However, you are welcome to bring your kids to the studio and have them sit in the reception area of the benches in the hallway. Out of consideration for all clients, children are not allowed to enter the spin room or gym once class has begun.
Kids 15+ are welcome to join any Dragonfly class with parental consent. Please consider the loud music, sometimes explicit lyrics, and intensity of the classes before determining if it's safe for your child.
Generally speaking yes, but please consult with your doctor.
Dragonfly provides towel service, so you’re covered there! You can bring your own water (and refill it at our delicious water station) or purchase some at the front desk. Either way you’ll need it…trust us!
Yes, a co-ed locker room is available to store your belongings during class. Please bring your own lock
No, unfortunately we do not have showers.
There are plenty of parking options around Dragonfly! Street metered parking is available on both sides of Van Nuys Blvd as well as on Moorpark. There is also free parking on the surrounding residential streets.
The class schedule will always be up two weeks in advance for booking. Click here for current schedule.
A cancellation within 12 hours of class is considered late. A cancellation within 1 hr of class is considered a no show. If you are on the 2 week trial or any of our discounted memberships (Fly 5, 8, 12, 16, unlimited), a late cancel results in loss of class and a $10 fee, and a no show results in a loss of class and a $20 fee. If you're on a class package, a late cancel or no show results in a loss of class.
Please do not email, call, text, or DM the studio to cancel a class, but do so through the website or the booking app (Wellness Living Achieve). If it is a medical emergency, all penalties will of course be waived.
To cancel your membership after the 3 month contract has been fulfilled, email [email protected]. Please note that 30 day notice is required for the contract to not renew.
If you need to cancel your membership before the 3 month contract is up, the remainder of the balance due will be charged upon cancellation.
There is a 5-minute grace period if you're running late to class. However, once the warmup is over in spin or strength training, it is unsafe and too much of a distraction to enter late. Showing up more than 5 minutes after class begins will be considered a no show and all penalties will apply.
Please do your best to arrive 10-15 minutes before class begins.
